    Hi, I’m Makeda! I am a leader, educator, creative and budding entrepreneur with a passion for storytelling that inspires, informs, and empowers. Over my twenty years of professional experience I’ve led teams in live television, content production, and brand strategy, helping organizations connect with their audiences through meaningful narratives and inclusive experiences.

    My career has moved fluidly between the control room, the classroom, and the creative studio. I’ve supervised live television production, shaped edutainment strategies in the beauty space, designed college‑level communication courses, and mentored emerging talent across disciplines. No matter the setting, I bring clarity, intention, and heart to the work, always centering people and purpose

    As a proud mommy to a brilliant little guy, I’m driven by the responsibility and joy of building a life full of possibility for my child. That commitment grounds my leadership in empathy, fuels my creativity, and strengthens my belief in the power of education and media to open doors.

    In 2023, I was honored as a Claflin University 40 Under 40 Award recipient. This was in recognition of my leadership, innovation, and dedication to excellence.
